Special Council Meeting
5:30 p.m.
Village Hall Meeting Room
The Village of Capitan Board of Trustees held a special council meeting
on October 22, 2003, at the Village Hall Meeting Room. Trustees Present
were George Tippin, John Whitaker, Leroy Montes and Bobbi Shearer.
Mayor Pro Tern Leroy Montes called meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Roll
Call: George Tippin, here; John Whitaker, here; Leroy Montes, here; and
Bobbi Shearer, here.
Leroy Montes stated that Amanda Vega was on sick leave and then had
five and half months of maternity leave after the baby is born. So we
need to hire a temporary assistant clerk for the interim.
John Whitaker made a motion to go into executive session, second by
George Tippin at 5:35 P.M.
The trustees returned to regular session at 5:45 P.M. John Whitaker
attested that only personal issue was discussed second by Bobbi Shearer.
John Whitaker made the motion to hire Shirley Pavlovic for the
temporary position second by Bobbi Shearer. Roll Call: George Tippin,
yes; John Whitaker, yes; Leroy Montes, yes; and Bobbi Shearer, yes;
motion carried. Shirley Pavlovic will start October 23', 2003.
Leroy Montes discussed the audit and we are waiting for Bonnie from
Roswell to get back with the Village if she can do the audit.
John Whitaker made a motion to adjourn second by George Tippin. All
those in favor? Motion carried.
Meeting was adjourned at 5:55 P.M.
