Special Meeting
May 14, 2005

Village Hall
The Village of Capitan Board of Trustees held a special meeting on May
14, 2005 at the Village Hall Building. Mayor Sederwall called the
meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Trustees present were George Tippin, Bill
Martin, Bobbi Shearer and Ed Davis.
Motion by Trustee Shearer seconded by Trustee Martin to approve the
agenda. All in favor, motion carried.
Capitan/Carrizozo Natural Gas Company Mayor Sederwall stated that the
gas prices were raised to $13.04 without approval from the Gas Board.
Trustee Shearer stated that Marc Prelo feels that we can terminate the
Joint Powers of Agreement. Trustee Shearer was appointed to the Gas
Board in place of Mayor Sederwall.
Resolution 2005-18 Capitan/Carrizozo Natural Gas Company Motion by
Trustee Shearer seconded by Trustee Davis to approve Resolution 2005-18
Capitan/Carrizozo Natural Gas Company as amended. Roll Call: Trustee
Shearer yes, Trustee Davis yes, Trustee Martin yes, Trustee Tippin no.
Appointment of Municipal Judge Motion by Trustee Shearer seconded by
Trustee Martin to appoint J.D. Roehrig as Temporary Judge until the
election in March 2006. Roll Call: Trustee Shearer yes, Trustee Davis
yes, Trustee Martin yes, Trustee Tippin yes.
Trustee Shearer requested a public hearing repealing Ordinance 2004-09
Municipal Court, so that we can start the municipal court by June 22,
2005.
Motion by Trustee Martin seconded by Trustee Tippin to adjourn at 7:30
pm. All in favor, motion carried.
