WHEREAS, the Village of Capitan is participating in the National Floodplain Insurance Program so that individuals who live in a designated floodplain will be able to purchase flood insurance; and

WHEREAS, the Village of Capitan is periodically evaluated by FEMA and/or the State of New Mexico Floodplain Administrator to make sure the village is administering and enforcing the local floodplain management program;

WHEREAS, the Mayor hereby gives an administrative directive stating that the Village will comply with requests from the State of New Mexico Floodplain Administrator and provide any necessary documentation.

NOW THERFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNING BODY that the aforementioned is hereby approved and is made a part of this resolution.
