WHEREAS, the Village of Capitan had a road called Aspen Drive and changed the name to Cedar; and

WHEREAS, the Village of Capitan has an East Cedar and a West Cedar Road that intersects with the previous Aspen Drive; and

WHEREAS, changing the name may cause confusion to the emergency services, the Village of Capitan has decided to change the name back to Aspen Drive; and

WHEREAS, at the intersection of East and West Cedar and Aspen Drive, a road extends north called Cedar Drive.  In order to cause less confusion at this intersection, the Village of Capitan approves changing Cedar Drive to Aspen Drive.

WHEREAS, the Governing Body in and for the Village of Capitan, State of New Mexico, does desire to adopt the change in the name Cedar back to Aspen Drive and change Cedar Drive to Aspen Drive.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE VILLAGE OF CAPITAN, NM does accept and adopt the changes in the names of Cedar back to Aspen Drive and Cedar Drive to Aspen Drive.

DONE, PASSED, AND APPROVED by the Governing Body of the Village of Capitan, Lincoln County, New Mexico on this 14th  day of July, 2009.
