WHEREAS, the Governing Body for the Village of Capitan, State of New Mexico, meeting in a regular session on the 9th day of December 2008, has approved and adopted the Official Holiday Calendar for the Village of Capitan.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of Capitan Board of Trustees hereby adopts the following as the Official Holiday Calendar for the Village of Capitan.

One Floating Holiday for each full time employee upon approval by Mayor or Village Clerk within the 2009 calendar year.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday    will be observed on Monday, January 19, 2009
   
Presidents’ Day                            will be observed on Monday, February 16, 2009

Memorial Day                              will be observed on Monday, May 25, 2009

Independence Day                       will be observed on Thursday, July 2, 2009

Labor Day                                   will be observed on Monday, September 7, 2009

Columbus Day                             will be observed on Monday, October 12, 2009

Veteran’s Day                             will be observed on Wednesday, November 11,2009

Thanksgiving Day                        will be observed on Wednesday, November 25 and Thursday, November 26, 2009

Christmas Day                            will be observed on Wednesday, December 23,2009 and Thursday, December 24, 2008

New Year’s Day                        will be observed on Thursday, December 31, 2009
