WHEREAS, Mary Brothers, came before the Governing Body of the Village of Capitan to request funds from the Village Lodger’s Tax to pay advertising costs associated with Smokey Bear Days; and

WHEREAS, the Village of Capitan is sponsoring Smokey Bear Days; and

WHEREAS, the Governing Body in and for the Village of Capitan, State of New Mexico, meeting in a regular session on the 8 day of November 2005 was in support of approving and appropriating $2000 for Smokey Bear Days;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE VILLAGE OF CAPITAN, requests authorization and approval from the DFA to increase their 2005-2006 budget in the amount of $2000, with the funds coming from the Lodger’s Tax fund. The balance in Lodger’s Tax at the time of this resolution is $6,809. There are expenditures of $2,500 budgeted to Lodger’s Tax at the time of this resolution;

DONE, PASSED AND APPROVED by the Governing Body of the Village of Capitan, Lincoln County, New Mexico on this 10 day of January, 2006.
