RESOLUTION 2005-07 BUDGET INCREASE
SMOKEY BEAR DONATION
WHEREAS, a private citizen has offered to donate a Smokey Bear
amusement ride to the Village of Capitan Museum. The ride is an
officially licensed item valued at approximately $3000. The donor
requests that the Village pay the cost of shipping the item to Capitan
from California and,
WHEREAS, the Governing Body in and for the Village of Capitan, State of
New Mexico, meeting in a regular session on the 8th day of February
2005 is in support of obtaining this donation and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE VILLAGE OF
CAPITAN, requests authorization and approval from the DFA to increase
their 2004-2005 budget in the amount of $ 1000, with the funds coming
from the Smokey Bear donation fund. The balance in the fund at the time
of this resolution is $3,834. The balance is included in Fund 299
titled Other, Line Item 3499018 on the Quarterly Budget Recap Report.
There are no expenditures budgeted to the Smokey Bear donation fund at
the time of this resolution,
DONE, PASSED AND APPROVED by the Governing Body of the Village of
Capitan, Lincoln County, New Mexico on this 8th day of March 2005.
