RESOLUTION 2003-23
Infrastructure Capital Improvement Plan (ICIP)
Priorities
WHEREAS, the municipality of the Village of Capitan recognizes that the
financing of public capital projects has become a major concern in New
Mexico and nationally; and
WHEREAS, in times of scarce resources, it is necessary to find new
financing mechanisms and maximize the use of existing resources; and
WHEREAS, systematic capital improvements planning is an effective tool
for communities to define their development needs, establish priorities
and pursue concrete actions and strategies to achieve necessary project
development; and
WHEREAS, this process contributes to local and regional efforts in
project identification and selection in short and long range planning
efforts.
The Governing Body of the Village of Capitan, meeting in regular
session on October 14, 2003., established these 2003-2004 priorities:
1. Chip Sealing Roads in the Subdivision
2. Sewer improvements
3. Community Center
4. Water line improvements
5. Drainage in the Subdivision
6. Health Clinic
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the governing Body of the Village of
Capitan, Lincoln County, New Mexico on October 14, 2003.
