AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE NEW MEXICO UNIFORM TRAFFIC ORIDNANCE BY REFERENCE

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE VILLAGE OF CAPITAN OF CAPITAN, NEW MEXICO.

SECTION 1.  ADOPTION BY REFERENCE

The 2004 Compilation of the New Mexico Uniform Traffic Ordinance, comprising of additions and deletions to Article 7 – (Special Rules for Motorcycles and Off-Highway Vehicles) and Article 12 – (Penalties and Procedures on Arrest)  that were amended by the 2009 Legislature.  Sections 12-7-1 through 12-7-10 of Article 7 and Sections 12-12-1 through 12-12-22 of Article 12 and inclusive, are herewith adopted by reference, pursuant to Section 3-17-6 NMSA 1978.

SECTION 2.  EFFECTIVE DATE

This ordinance shall take effect on the 1^st day of October, 2009.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15^th day of September, 2009.
